Transportation
Nottingham has one of the most convenient transport links to other major UK cities. The city offers a free inter-campus bus service for both staff and students. The Robin Hood card can also be used all across Nottingham’s bus, tram, and train networks.
Air:
Nottingham is served by East Midlands Airport, near Castle Donington in North West Leicestershire, just under 15 miles (24 km) southwest of the city centre.
Railways:
Trains run regularly to London, Manchester, and Leicester. Nottingham Station is the second busiest railway station in the Midlands for passenger entries and exits, provides rail services for the city.
Trams:
The reintroduction of trams in 2004 made Nottingham the newest of only six English cities to have a light rail.
Bicycles:
The city has an intricate network of cycle routes and cycle parking, making it a popular way to move around.
Bus:
It’s particularly cheap to get to London via bus, with student rates of less than £10.

The most common places of accommodation in Nottingham are found in the Lenton area, as it is closer to the University of Nottingham’s campus and the Forest Field District, as it is closer with NTU’s students.
