How to Pay?
- Through a Family/Friend
Paying your fee via family or friends is considered to be the quickest and safest way. Best in sense that you do not have to pay conversion charges from PKR to Pounds. They pay the fee on your behalf using their debit/credit card or via bank transfer, and you can pay them directly.
Another advantage of paying through someone who is already in the UK is that University gets money in their account instantly. Sooner they get it, sooner you can proceed with CAS.
- Using Transferwise/Western Union
You can also pay your dues using Transferwise or Western union but surely they will charge conversion fees and their fee as well that can vary from time to time. Currency exchanger will cost 2 to 3 rupee extra per pound and the same 1500 fee of their service which you can get exempted if you bargain enough. Some WU shops also charge up to 2500 rupees.
On the other hand, Transferwise can charge you up to 0.005-0.008% of the total fee. It is a much cheaper way to transfer but the issue here is that this method works only for up to 4250 pounds (980,000 Pakistani rupees) if you use personal Transferwise. So this method can be helpful for students up to the above-mentioned fee or the ones who have to pay a fee in installments. Last but not least they offer almost all google rates for currency exchange.

3. Through Bank Transfer
We can also pay our fee with the aid of Pakistani banks directly and deposit the amount to the university account.
Students prefer Western Union because the banks charge roughly 200$ as intermediary bank charges which gets costly and also they have a 1500 rupees fee.
- Via Credit and Debit cards
If you want to securely pay your deposit using a credit or debit card, you can make an online payment straight to the university. All major credit and debit cards are accepted. You will need the student number and date of birth to complete data validation checks.
Just need to make sure you have enough limits on your account. If your transfer limit is lower, you can call up your bank and request a higher limit.
5. By Dollar East
Dollar East also works the same as the Western Union. It can also be used for depositing money from Pakistan to your UK university bank account. They have 25 Pounds service charges.
- Foreign Currency Account
If you are not in a rush, open a foreign currency account in bank al-habib. And then transfer your funds to the uni account. Not the easiest way though, but definitely the cheapest.
